Domain Tab Closer – Privacy Policy
Browser extension, version 1.1 · Last updated: 17 October 2026
Summary
Domain Tab Closer collects no data. It does not sell, share, or transmit anything. It has no analytics and loads no remote code. Everything it does happens inside your browser.
What the extension accesses
When you open or refresh the popup, the extension reads the list of your open tabs through the browser's tabs API: each tab's title, URL, favicon URL, pinned and active state, and tab and window IDs. This is used only to group tabs by website, let you search them, and act on the tabs you choose. The data is held in memory while the popup is open and is never stored, logged, or sent anywhere.
On your instruction, the extension closes the tabs you select or switches to the tab you pick. Pinned tabs are never closed. Favicons in the popup are loaded by the browser from each tab's own favicon URL.
The extension has no host permissions, injects no content scripts, and does not read page content, cookies, or browsing history.
What it stores
Four preferences are saved in the browser's local extension storage: sort order, "never close active tab", "confirm before close", and the last-used popup mode. No tab data and no identifiers are stored.
Network and third parties
The extension makes no network requests of its own. There are no analytics, telemetry, ads, accounts, crash reporting, or third-party code or SDKs. All code is bundled with the extension; nothing is loaded remotely and no code is evaluated at runtime.
Your control
Preferences are stored locally in your browser profile and are not synced by the extension. Uninstalling the extension removes all stored preferences.
Children
The extension collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
